The Bank of Holland Selects New President

The Bank of Holland is pleased to announce the addition of Robert Dwortz as the President of The Bank of Holland.  Rob will be located in the Grand Rapids office while his responsibilities will also include Holland and the new Lakeshore Business office.  Rob Dworz, President of The Bank of Holland

Robert Dwortz, 41, earned his undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Michigan.  Mr. Dwortz’s experience is on “both sides of the equation” with an extensive background in banking as well as launching and growing a successful real estate investment and advisory firm.  Mr. Dwortz has spent the last five years as the founder and managing partner of Strength Property Partners, a real estate advisory and private equity firm specializing in the development of urban areas in the upper Midwest.  Previous to that, he was a Senior Vice President with National City Bank, now part of PNC Bank.  Rob comes most recently from Southeast Michigan and previously worked in the Chicago market.  He grew up in Western Michigan.

Mr. Dwortz will be responsible for the growth in deposits and loans for The Bank of Holland’s Grand Rapids, Holland and Lakeshore Business Office. He will be responsible for the day-to-day management of The Bank of Holland.

Garth Deur will continue with his responsibilities as the CEO of The Bank of Holland and the Chief Operating Officer of Lake Michigan Financial Corporation, the holding company for The Bank of Holland and The Bank of Northern Michigan.  Richard Lievense, founder of Lake Michigan Financial Corporation, will remain its’ President and CEO.
