Michael has been involved in banking and manufacturing in West Michigan for over 15 years. He has been with The Bank of Holland’s Grand Rapids Commercial Lending group for the past five years, working with clients located throughout West Michigan. His current professional memberships and involvement include the Michigan Manufacturers Association, Association for Corporate Growth West Michigan, and the Precision Metal Forming Association.  Michael also acts as an Executive Committee member for Leadership West Michigan and is active in other West Michigan based community and non-profit groups.

Jessica Huizen
Jessica HuizenVP, Business Banking Officer


Jessica Huizen is an expert in the banking industry.  With over 13 years of experience, Jessica's background includes working with moderate to large commercial businesses, asset based lending and commercial real estate finance. A graduate from Michigan State University, Leadership West Michigan and Banking School, she is actively involved with the MSU Alumni Club of West Michigan, along with serving as a Chair for a YMCA board.

Michael SytsmaJim Bishop

Michael Sytsma serves as the Senior Vice President - Business Banking Manager at The Bank of Holland in the Grand Rapids market.  Michael is a native of Grand Rapids and a graduate of Miami University.  He has over 14 years of business banking experience in the West Michigan market. Michael serves on the board and executive committees for the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan and Family Promise of Grand Rapids. He is also a board member of the Grand Rapids Rotary Club, where he also chairs the Membership Committee.

Mike Bennett
VP, Business Banking Officer


With over 26 years of commercial banking experience, Mike has worked closely with moderate small to mid-sized clients ranging across several industries. He has been with The Bank of Holland team since 2004.  Mike is actively involved in the community and participates with sevaral non-profit organizations in West Michigan, such as, Family Promise of Grand Rapids, Safe Haven Ministries, St. Mary's Foundation and Michigan Migrant Legal Aid Project.  He is also a member of The Bank of Holland's Charitable Giving Committee, Construction Financial Management Association and Central Reformed Church.

Dustin Hopkins
Business Banking Officer


Dustin started his banking career with The Bank of Holland’s Professional Development Program, and has had experiences in various departments within the bank.   As a Business Banker, he specializes in oil and gas related industries in addition to commercial real estate and manufacturing.  Dustin enjoys serving within the community and sits on multiple boards, including the Boys and Girls Club of Grand Rapids, Southeast Ottawa Community Foundation, and The Bank of Holland's Charitable Giving Committee.

Betsy Haller
Director of Treasury Services


Betsy Haller is a seasoned leader who works with professionals in the dental, medical, law and financial fields.  She has been involved with commercial lending for over 23 years and started with The Bank of Holland in 2002.  In her new role as the Director of Treasury Services she manages deposit services for our large personal, commercial and municipal clients, as well as our cash management products.
